The Harvest Process
1. Picking: Workers carefully twist the kiwifruit from the vines and place them into picking bags.
2. Collection: The fruit is emptied from the bags into tractor bins, which are then moved to collection sites.
3. Transport: Trucks transport the bins to packhouses to prevent overripening.
4. Packing: At the packhouse, workers sort and grade the fruit, removing any blemishes, leaves, or sticks. The best fruit is packed into trays for export.
